Longwood Gardens

We took a trip to Longwood Gardens this week. It's so much fun to see all the crazy different kinds of plants and flowers. It makes me wish I could garden...or I lived on a huge stretch of land. Of course, I'm already making plans for an arboretum specially for trees to climb. (for some reason....they don't let you climb the trees in places like this...heheh)

So many vines growing on the ceiling.

Roses. That pretty much smell like heaven and remind me of the rosebush that was in our backyard before it was brutally cut down without permission (another story for another day).

Eli is pretty much flying.

okay. this was a wall of ferns. could anything be better?! I want one in my house! Also my hair is attached to the wall in this picture, but at the time I had no idea.

Cheesin hard in front of the fern wall. Typical me with eyes awkwardly closed mid-laugh.

me and eli. newfound best friend.

                                                        Maria, Charlotte, and Annabella.

                                                                      purple and yellow.

It was a good day. We may or may not have been sneakily stashing flowers and leaves in my purse all day...it's impossible to go anywhere public without breaking the rules to some extent, apparently.

The only reason I'm using this picture is because it was absolutely the only picture I took last week. But it's okay. It was a good lunch.

halibut point

We mostly just looked at the waves and let salty air fill our lungs, but also
found a dragon egg,
gave our cheesiest smiles,
found a rock cave,
discussed the color spectrum of a wave,
and slipped on seaweed covered rocks.
